New Shuttle Service Eases Travel Between Bali’s Nusa Islands

Bali, IndonesiaA new shuttle service has been launched to facilitate travel between two of Bali’s popular Nusa Islands, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, connected by the iconic Yellow Bridge. The service is aimed at improving transport options for tourists who often struggle with limited travel arrangements between the islands.

Island hopping is a fantastic way to explore Bali Province, which is made up of four main islands: Bali, Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan. While these islands are well-known, other often-overlooked gems include Serangan Island, connected to Bali via a road bridge, and uninhabited Menjangan Island in West Bali National Park, famous for its vibrant coral reefs.

The shuttle, operating in the form of open-sided pick-up trucks similar to Thailand’s Songthaew, is now offering convenient transfers across the short distance between the two islands. With the Yellow Bridge undergoing periodic maintenance, this new service is a welcome solution, providing tourists with an easy way to navigate the islands.

Available for quick hops between ports on either side of the bridge, the shuttles also offer village tours for those looking to explore more of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Didik Abbas from the Tanis Fast Cruise company stated that the shuttles can traverse the narrow island roads, allowing seamless access for visitors.

This service comes as tourism grows in the Nusa Islands, especially as Nusa Penida continues to see rapid development, including the controversial Kelingking Beach Glass Elevator. Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan are increasingly sought after by travelers seeking a more peaceful island experience, away from the heavy crowds on Nusa Penida.

With the rise of fast boat services such as GoBoat, tourists can now reach the Nusa Islands with greater ease from Bali’s main ports, including Sanur and Serangan. The shuttle service between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan marks another step in improving the overall travel experience for visitors seeking to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquil charm of these smaller islands.

Popular spots on Nusa Lembongan, such as Devil’s Tears and Mushroom Bay Beach, along with Nusa Ceningan’s Blue Lagoon, continue to draw travelers, who can now easily explore both islands thanks to the new shuttle service.
