Zostel Launches Its First Backpacker Hostel in Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Port Blair, November 9, 2024 — In a major expansion, Zostel, India’s largest network of backpacker hostels, has launched its first property in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Located on Havelock Island (officially known as Swaraj Dweep), the new hostel is set to offer budget-friendly accommodations with a blend of tropical vibes and modern amenities, catering to solo travelers, digital nomads, and backpackers eager to explore the scenic beauty of the archipelago.
This latest property marks Zostel’s entry into the islands, offering a new and affordable accommodation option amidst a landscape dominated by luxury resorts and hotels. The hostel features mixed and female-only dorms, as well as private rooms, vibrant common areas, and a café. Known for its social atmosphere, Zostel Havelock aims to be a hub for young travelers looking to connect with like-minded explorers.

The hostel is strategically located to provide easy access to Havelock’s popular spots, including Radhanagar Beach, Kalapathar Beach, and various dive centers. Known for its crystal-clear waters and diverse marine ecosystem, Havelock Island is a prime spot for water sports such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and kayaking.
To enhance the traveler experience, Zostel Havelock will offer guided tours and activities, including beach clean-ups, cultural events, and treks through the island’s lush forests.
