The inauguration, graced by Tourism Minister Shri PA Mohamed Riyas and presided over by MLA Shri V Joy, marks the culmination of a visionary project aiming to elevate Varkala’s tourism. The collaborative effort between the Department of Tourism, District Tourism Promotion Council, Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society, and the Municipality of Varkala underscores the town’s commitment to providing unique and safe experiences for travellers.

To reach Papanasam Beach from the city center of Varkala, you’ll primarily navigate along two main roads: Wavewall Road (SH 64) and Varkala-Papanasam Beach Road. Starting from the city center, you’ll likely begin your journey on Wavewall Road, which runs through Varkala, connecting the urban area with the coastal regions. As you progress towards Papanasam Beach, you’ll transition onto Varkala-Papanasam Beach Road, a direct route leading to the beach area. These roads are well-known in the local area, and you can ask locals for directions or follow road signs indicating the way to Papanasam Beach.

Despite the bustling crowds, safety remained paramount, with vigilant personnel ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all.
