TAT to Host Two ‘Amazing Thailand’ Events in India to Boost Tourism and Cultural Exchange

The events, titled “Amazing Thailand Fest 2024 @ Chennai” and “Amazing Thailand: Director’s Cut,” will be held from 27-29 September and on 28 September, respectively, with a focus on enhancing tourism ties between Thailand and India.

Chennai– The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is gearing up to organize two prominent events in Chennai later this month to promote Thailand as a leading travel destination and cultural hub for Indian tourists. The events, titled “Amazing Thailand Fest 2024 @ Chennai” and “Amazing Thailand: Director’s Cut,” will be held from 27-29 September and on 28 September, respectively, with a focus on enhancing tourism ties between Thailand and India.

The “Amazing Thailand Fest 2024 @ Chennai,” taking place at the Express Avenue Mall, will showcase Thailand’s unique attractions under the theme of ‘Five Must-Do Experiences’ – Must Taste, Must Try, Must Buy, Must Seek, and Must See. The event will offer an array of activities including traditional Thai and Indian cultural performances, Muay Thai demonstrations, food stalls featuring authentic Thai cuisine, and DIY workshops. Visitors will also have the chance to interact with tourism booths and explore famous Thai film locations through interactive displays.

On 28 September, the “Amazing Thailand: Director’s Cut” will be held at the Hyatt Regency Chennai, focusing on Thailand as a prime location for film productions. The event will bring together film industry professionals from both Thailand and India for panel discussions and networking sessions, aimed at encouraging collaboration and promoting Thai locations for Indian films.

These events are part of TAT’s strategy to attract more Indian tourists to Thailand, with the country expecting 1.7 million Indian visitors in 2024, thanks to Thailand’s visa exemption policy.
