Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Guwahati- Shillong (98 Kms/ 3 Hrs)

On arrival at Guwahati airport/railway station meets our representative and transfer to Shillong. En-route visit Borapani Lake and take a small tea break there. If time permits you can also indulge in some water sports in the lake. On reaching Shillong check-in at your hotel and take rest. If time permits visit Shillong Cathedral and Wards Lake and go for a lunch in one of the best eateries in Shillong at additional cost. Night Stay at Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong-Cherrapunjee

Guwahati After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and depart for Cherrapunjee. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Later, proceed for a guided trek to Single Decker Living Root Bridge. Also, visit other attractions like the Ka Khoh Ramhah near India - Bangladesh Border, Eco Park, Mawsmai Cave,Mawkdok Dympep valley,Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sister Falls.Visit Thangkharang Park that is home to a large number of rare and exotic orchids. Night Stay at Cherrapunji.

Day 3: Cherrapunjee- Mawlynnong- Dawki- Shillong (100 Kms/ 2-3 Hrs)

Today we will go for a day trip to Mawlynnong village the cleanest village in Asia. We will go for short trekking in the living root bridge and venture in the one of the tallest tree-house in the village and enjoy the birds-eye view of the village. After having a delicious traditional meal in Mawlynnong proceeds to Dawki and Stopover at Bophill Falls and enjoy its stunning beauty. Dawki: It is a small town located Indo-Bangladesh Border. Enjoy complimentary boating in the crystal water of Umangot River and spend some fabulous time. Return to Shillong in the evening. Overnight at Shillong.

Day 4: Shillong Sight Seeing and Transfer to Kaziranga  ( 260 kms / 6/7 hours )

After breakfast visit Elephant falls- Shillong Peak-Umium Lake.

Later drive to Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga is a vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland and dense tropical moist broad leaf forests, crisscrossed by four major rivers, including the Brahmaputra, and the park includes numerous small bodies of water. Check-in at an eco-camp/hotel close to Kaziranga National Park,and enjoy your dinner and.

Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 5: Elephant/Jeep Safari at Kaziranga National Forest

Early Morning go for an (Optional) Elephant Safari at Kaziranga (on direct payment basis).Return hotel/resort for breakfast. Later drive to Kaziranga Central Range for the Kaziranga Jeep Safari [Complentary] . The Central zone of the Kaziranga National Park is the prime zone for the ecotourism in the Kaziranga forest.This Park boasts of world's endangered One-horned Rhinoceros,pure Wild Water Buffaloes,over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Pallas Fishing Eagle, Grey Headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. Overnight Stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 6: Kaziranga to Bomdila (240km/7hrs)

From Kaziranga, our next Destination would be Bomdila.On the way, visit Tipi On the banks of the river Bharali at an elevation of 190 mtrs having an orchidarium with over 500 orchids. Reach Bomdila by afternoon. Bomdila is a beautiful town situated in the foothills of Himalayan ranges. It is famous for Himalayan birding as the Eaglenest wildlife sanctuary is nearby the town. The other attractions of the town - Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa),Emporium,Bomdila View Point. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay in Bomdila

Day 7: Bomdila to Tawang & En-route Sightseeing (185km/8 Hours)

Early Morning We will start our journey towards Tawang from Bomdila. We will get many places to see on our way to Tawang. We will visit those places one after another and then we will finally reach Tawang at last. On our way, we will visit Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, Sela Lake (or Paradise Lake situated near Sela Pass), Jaswantgarh war memorial (right below Sela Pass) and Nuranung waterfalls (before reaching Tawang). Overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 8: Tawang Sightseeing (70km/6hrs)

Next day in Tawang we will show you all the places within Tawang.First we will visit the Sixth Dalai Lama Birthplace,the Tawang Monastery. It is the largest monastery in India and also the second-largest across the globe. The monastery is set 10000 feet above sea level on a hill and boasts mesmerizing views of the surrounding villages and hill stations. Later visit Nun Monastery,Rope Way to Nun Monastery, Apple Orchards, Emporium ,Brahma-Dung-Chung Ani Gompa,Light And Sound Show.Tawang Market,Galden Namgyal Lhatse Museum,Urgelling Gompa etc. Overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 9: PTSO Lake - Madhuri Lake (Optional- Bum La Pass ) 

Post breakfast, start your day with breathtaking view of Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow- capped mountains and the valley offer a spectacular view.On your way back to Tawang stop by the Heart Lake, PTSO lake, Naghula lake, which will surely make your day. Overnight stay in Tawang. (Optional-Bumla Pass-Rs 4500 to 7500/Vehile Extra) Bum La Pass about 37 kms away from Tawang.It is the indo-china border that lies at 15,200 ft above sea level.The place is a must visit but only when you have the special permit from Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District, and then Indian army cantonment of Tawang.A telescope and a few binoculars are kept near the Indian Army check post for visitors who want to know what lies beyond the border. The army canteen serves hot tea, water and dessert. If you are planning to visit the Bum La Pass then you must choose an itinerary with at least 3 days stay at Tawang as the pass for visiting Bum La Pass cannot be obtained in a same day.

Day 10: Tawang - Dirang (145 km/5 Hours)

We will take you back to Dirang from Tawang in the morning. Dirang is a valley also situated in the foothill ranges of Himalaya situated in Arunachal Pradesh. It falls on the way to Tawang from Bomdila. It is very famous among the birders as they often come to this valley for Himalayan bird watching. On reaching there, we will show you the beautiful valley and the sightseeing places around Dirang. The places to see in Dirang are Dirang Dzong, Tibetan Villages and the Architectures of these villages,Kiwi Farm,Hot Water Spring. Overnight stay in Dirang.

Day 11: Dirang - Guwahati (335 km/9 Hours)

Wake up at the crack of dawn to drive to Sangti Valley, about 7 km from Dirang. Surrounded by lofty ranges of the Eastern Himalaya, the lush valley stretches along the Sangti river, a tributary of the Kameng. In winter, you can catch sight of black-necked cranes that migrate to the valley from China. Later in the the day start with a long drive of transfer to Guwahati - It is approximately 335 kilometers and is nearly 06 - 07 hours drive over via Chariduar - The drive will be through Tezpur along Tawang Road and National Highway 15 - The Road is scenic and one will enjoy the view of River Kameng and the forest along the way - Stop at Bhalukpong or Tezpur for refreshment (Advisable)- Reach Guwahti - Check into Hotel. Evening free to stroll around the area or for shopping.The City has four major shopping center i.e. Pan Bazaar, Paltan Bazaar, Fancy Bazaar and Uzan Bazaar - Guwahati is the major educational hub of Northeast India. Overnight stay at Guwahati

Day 12: Depart Guwahati

We will take you out for other sightseeing of the city like the Kamakhya temple, the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra, Balaji temple, Deepor Beel etc. Later we will drop you at the airport at the required time.
