This 9 Days / 8 Nights Nepal with Muktinath Yatra is a private road-based pilgrimage and sightseeing tour covering Lumbini, Pokhara, the Kali Gandaki Valley, Jomsom, Kagbeni, Muktinath, Manakamana and Kathmandu.

The journey begins from Gorakhpur and crosses the Sunauli border into Nepal before continuing to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The tour then travels through Tansen and Pokhara before entering the Himalayan region towards Jomsom and Muktinath.

After Muktinath Darshan, the journey returns to Pokhara and continues to Manakamana and Kathmandu before returning to Gorakhpur through the Sunauli border.

Itinerary

Day 1: Gorakhpur – Sunauli Border – Bhairahawa – Lumbini

Depart from Gorakhpur and proceed towards the Sunauli India–Nepal border. Complete the border formalities and continue through Bhairahawa towards Lumbini.

After arrival and hotel check-in, proceed for sightseeing depending on arrival time.

Sightseeing: Maya Devi Temple - Sacred Garden - Ashoka Pillar - Puskarini / Sacred Pond - Bodhi Tree - Lumbini Museum - World Peace Pagoda - Myanmar Golden Temple - Chinese Monastery - Thai Monastery - Japanese Peace Stupa - International Monastic Zone

Overnight: Lumbini

Distance: Approximately 120–125 km
Driving Time: Approximately 4–5 hours excluding border formalities and sightseeing

Day 2: Lumbini – Butwal – Tansen/Palpa – Pokhara

After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Pokhara via Butwal and Tansen/Palpa.

The route passes through the scenic hills of western Nepal. Subject to available time, visit Tansen before continuing towards Pokhara.

Optional Sightseeing: Tansen Bazaar - Palpa Durbar - Amar Narayan Temple - Traditional Newari Houses - Srinagar Hill - Tansen Old Town

Continue to Pokhara and check in at the hotel.

Day 3: Full-Day Pokhara Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin the Himalayan journey towards Jomsom through the Kali Gandaki Valley.

After breakfast, proceed towards Kagbeni and continue towards Muktinath.

Continue towards Ranipauwa and Muktinath for Darshan.

Day 6: Jomsom – Marpha – Tukuche – Ghasa – Tatopani – Beni – Pokhara

After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Kathmandu via Damauli and Mugling.

Continue to Kurintar and take the Manakamana Cable Car to visit the famous Manakamana Temple.

Sightseeing: Manakamana Temple - Manakamana Temple Complex - Manakamana Cable Car - Himalayan Viewpoints

Allow approximately 2–3 hours for the cable car journey, Darshan and return.

Continue towards Kathmandu through Malekhu.
